Endoscopy Unit
Endoscopy and colonoscopy are diagnostic procedures used to evaluate the digestive system. During these procedures, a flexible tube with a camera is inserted into the digestive tract to examine the internal organs. Endoscopy is used to evaluate the upper part of the digestive tract, including the esophagus, stomach, and small intestine, while colonoscopy examines the large intestine and rectum. These procedures help diagnose a wide variety of conditions, including ulcers, tumors, gastrointestinal bleeding, and inflammatory bowel disease. They are commonly performed as outpatient procedures under sedation and have a low risk of complications.
